Jeanine Nelson

Vonda Jeanine Nelson, 93, of Idaho falls, Idaho, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2026.

Jeanine was born June 22, 1932, to Emeral LeRoy Morgan and Janet Ellen Bruce Morgan. She was raised and attended school in Annis Idaho. She graduated from Rigby High School in 1950.

Jeanine Met George James Nelson in 1948, and they were married December 14, 1950.

Jeanine worked as a secretary and loan officer for Idaho First Nation Bank for many years. She retired in 1991 after working for 32 years.

Jeanine enjoyed gardening, especially growing flowers and house plants. Her biggest joy after retiring was the grandchildren and her two daughters. Diane, Patti, and her son-in-law, Steve Wilson.

Jeanine was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She is survived by her two daughters, Diane (Steve) Wilson, Patti Voyles, her sister, Gail Neiderer of Rexburg, Idaho, her grandchildren, Shanna (Robert) Hoppie, Burdette (Maria) Wilson, Alan (Kanani) Wilson, Jamie (Damion) Wheeler, Patrick Skyler (Emma) Voyles, Shawnalee (Dillon) Voyles, 16 great grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Eckersell funeral home, 101 West Main Street, Rigby Idaho, with a viewing Friday, March 13, 2026, from 6:00-7:30 p.m. also at Eckersell Funeral home, and from 9:30-10:45 a.m. prior to the funeral. Interment will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery.
