Jeffrey “J” Jones; 46, of St. Anthony, Idaho, died Friday, January 13, 2006 in Rexburg, Idaho at the Hospital of Cardiac Arrest.
Jeffrey was born November 10, 1959 in Rexburg, Idaho, the son of Virgil James Jones and Mary Karen Rasmussen . He attended Madison Schools and graduated from Madison High School.
He married Nicole Rae Hall on November 12, 1987 at the Burton LDS Church.
He worked as an auto body repairman, his specialty being metal, fiberglass and painting. He was an excellent body and fender man who worked for Madison Ford, and C & L Body Shop in Rexburg and Gary’s Auto body in St. Anthony for the last six years.
He worked as Pit Crew helping his brother Race Boats. He belonged to the Snake River Hot Boat Association and the Super Stock Racing Association. He was an Elder in The LDS Church.
He loved motorcycling, hunting, out of doors, boating and helping his brother race boats.
He is survived by his wife, Nicole Jones of Sugar City, Idaho. Three children; Amber, Trever and Britney Jones of Sugar City, Idaho. His parents; Mary (Bob) Blanchard of Chuback, Idaho and Virgil (Fern) Jones of Idaho Falls, Idaho. A sister; Becky (Scott) Hinckley of Pocatello, and two brothers; Hal Jones of Layton, Utah and Michael (Bernadine) Jones of Los Alamos, New Mexico. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 17, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. in the Sugar City 2nd Ward Chapel in Sugar City, Idaho. The family will meet with friends at Eckersell Memorial Chapel on Monday, January 16, 2006 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. and on Tuesday at the Sugar City Ward Chapel prior to services from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Burial will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery.
