Jennie Larene Landon

Jennie Larene Landon, age 84, of Rexburg passed away March 25, 2024, at her home in Rexburg.

Jennie was born September 25, 1939, in Idaho Falls, Idaho a daughter of Kenneth Paul Baxter and Bertha Larene Humphries Baxter.  She was raised in Rigby and graduated from Rigby High School.  Through her life she has lived in Rigby, Pocatello, Grand Junction, Colorado, Pocatello, Rigby, Salmon and then to Rexburg.

Jennie married Larry Lynn Landon June 6, 1958 in the Idaho Falls Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  She has worked at Madison Memorial Hospital as an instrument tech, at Foster’s Honey in Rigby as a honey extractor, and ARTCO until she retired.

As part of her church affiliations Jennie played the organ, was a pianist for the primary and relief society.

Jennie loved to go on motorcycle rides, paint, walk the dogs, especially sparky who she loved dearly, working as a honey extractor, and dancing.

She is survived by her husband Larry Landon of Rexburg, Idaho, Daughters Debbie (Terry) Foster of Roberts Idaho, Maria Perschke of Rexburg, Idaho, sons Rick (Stacy) Landon of Ririe, Idaho, Todd (Sara) Landon of Menan, Idaho, Sisters Treasa (Max) Radford of Rigby, Idaho, Karen (Vernon) Miller of Richmond, Utah, Pamela (Bryon) Coombs of Rigby, Idaho, Brothers Kenneth Paul Baxter Jr of Hawthorne Nevada, 17 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and one on the way, and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Jennie is proceeded in death by her parents Kenneth and Bertha Baxter, Darrell Perschke (Son in Law) Joshua Thorngren (grandchild).

Funeral services will be held Friday March 29, 2024, at 11:00am at the Rexburg 18th LDS ward building with a viewing prior to the service at 9:30am-10:45am at 315 Gary Dr. Rexburg Idaho 83440.  Burial will be at the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery.
