Jennifer Mcgary

Jennifer McGary, 52, of Idaho Falls, passed away March 31, 2022 surrounded by her family after she lost her battle with brain cancer.

Jen was born on March 21, 1970 In Idaho Falls, Idaho to Phillip Ronald Roberts and Betty Gene DeBloois. Jennifer graduated from Idaho Falls High School and also received an Associate’s Degree in Botany and Landscape from Ricks College.

Jennifer married Bradley Wade McGary in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on December 27, 1990 and later divorced. Jennifer ran the after-school program at T.L.C. Daycare, The Children’s Place Daycare and later worked for Dancing Bear’s Daycare. She also volunteered for many of the animal shelters and rescues in the valley.

Jennifer was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in many callings, some of which were in Primary as a teacher and being a pianist in the Relief Society. Jennifer loved all animals. There wasn't a creature in need she wouldn't help.  She was very creative, there wasn’t anything Jennifer couldn’t do if she set her mind to it. Jennifer loved crafts and woodworking. Hobbies included making and selling lotions, bath salts and cooling sprays at the Farmer’s Market, as well as enjoying the outdoors

Jennifer is survived by her daughter Kelsey (Justin) Clements of Rexburg Idaho, mother Betty Gene Roberts of Idaho Falls Idaho, sister Michelle (Mark) Hanson of Salt Lake City Utah; brothers Troy (Diane) Roberts of Salt Lake City Utah, Cory (Deb) Roberts of Sugar City Idaho, and Brett (Lynette) Roberts of Salt Lake City Utah. She has one grandchild. Jennifer was preceded in death by her father, Phillip.

Funeral Services for Jennifer will be held on Wednesday April 6, 2022 at 11:00 am at the Sunnydell Ward in Rexburg at 201 W 8000 S Rexburg, Idaho 83440. Visitation for Jennifer will be held prior to the funeral from 9:30am-10:45am, also at the church. Interment will follow the funeral service at Sutton Cemetery.
