Jerry Lynn Burgess

Jerry Lynn Burgess, age 63, of Rigby, passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls. Jerry was born February 20, 1952 to Lambert Doyle and Helen Louella Burgess in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He attended Rigby schools. He married Dalene Anderson in Rigby, Idaho, they had two sons, Justin and Travis. They were later divorced. He married Renae Schondell, They had two children Brian and Michelle. They later divorced. He then married Valerie C. Dyer and she preceded him in death. He worked at Simplot Farms in Howe, Idaho and farmed in the Twin Falls area. Jerry enjoyed hunting, fishing and being with his friends. He also loved baseball, football and music. He is survived by his mother Helen Beck of Rigby, three sons Justin (Jennifer) Burgess of Idaho Falls, Travis (Shanna) Burgess of Rigby, and Brian (Brittaney) Burgess of Custer South Dakota. Eight sisters, Debra Lott of Rigby, Marsha McGrath of Rigby, Teri Porter of Washington, Jackie McCowin of Rigby, Bobby Wetzel of Boise, Jackie Burgess of Idaho Falls, Lori Leavitt of Rigby, Beth Tapp of Idaho Falls, twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father Doyle Burgess, his wife Valerie, a daughter Michelle, and two brothers Mike Burgess and Steven Conrad. A memorial gathering will be Saturday September 19, 2015 at 1:00pm, at the Rigby Senior Citizen Center.
