Jessie Ellen Rolfe, 94, of Rigby Idaho, peacefully passed away at her daughter’s home on August 22, 2023 in Ammon, Idaho.

She was born on January 6, 1929 in Rigby, Idaho to William Edgar Hill and Mary Lovell Hill.

Jessie married the love of her life, Reed Rolfe, on July 31, 1946 in the Logan Utah LDS Temple.

Jessie was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings throughout her life. She also enjoyed yard work and sewing. Jessie was an accomplished seamstress. Jessie was the nicest lady and loved to be in the out of doors, until she couldn’t.

She is preceded in death by her sweetheart, Reed; parents, William and Mary Hill; her son Lamar Rolfe; granddaughter Heather Jensen; grandson Vern Rolfe; sisters Reva Finn and Verna Peterson; and brothers Arlo Hill and George Hill.

Jessie is survived by her children Luann (Doyle) Crane of Ammon ID, Darrel (Barbara) Rolfe of Sun City West AZ, Matt (Marlene) Rolfe of Rigby ID and Dan (Yvonne) Rolfe of Idaho Falls ID; 18 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren and ten great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral service for Jessie will be held on Friday, September 1, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Rigby East Idaho Stake Center. A viewing will be held prior from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Interment will follow the funeral service at the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery.
