Robert James “Jim” Christiansen, 47, of Osgood, died July 6, 2009, at the VA Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.
He was born February 13, 1962, in Rigby, to Robert Joseph Christiansen, and Jean Ann Hadley Christiansen. He was raised in Roberts, attended Roberts Elementary and graduated from Rigby High School in 1980. He Joined the U.S. Air Force and worked in communications. While in the Air Force he traveled the world working on different assignments. After the military he managed a sporting goods store in Florida and Texas. Most recently he worked as a bar tender in Albuquerque, NM and Tucson, AZ. He moved back to Osgood 4 years ago.
Jim enjoyed fishing, camping, traveling, loved his nieces and nephews, and spending time with his grandparents.
He is survived by his parents, Robert and Jean Christiansen, of Osgood, a sister, Lori (Bill) Maupin, of Rigby, a brother, Rowdy (Jennifer) Christiansen, of Rigby and Grandparents, Keith and Marcene Hadley, of Idaho Falls.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 13, 2009, at the Annis Little Butte Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m., Sunday at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 W. Main St., Rigby. Burial will be in the Annis Little-Butte Cemetery, under the care of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
