Joe Everette Hubbs, 94, of Prescott, Arizona passed away Friday, May 17, 2013. He was born December 20, 1918 in Neosho, Missouri to Harvey Everette Hubbs and Lucy Hicks Hubbs. He was raised and attended schools in Colton, California. On Sept 20, 1940, he married Norma Hobbs in Riverside, California. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple at a later date. Joe worked for Southern Pacific Railroad as a Switchman in California. In 2004 he moved to Blackfoot, Idaho. Joe was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; he served in a Bishopric, the High Council, as a Home Teacher and as High Priest. He enjoyed sports, and managed Little League Baseball in Colton, California. He is survived by his daughters, Roxana Hammon, of Menan, Jacki (John) Flemming, of Frazier Park, California, Anita Hubbs, of Blackfoot, son, Joe E. (Sherri) Hubbs Jr., of Prescott, Arizona, 17 grandchildren and 40 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 2 grandsons, 2 brothers and 3 sisters. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 25, 2013 at the Menan 2nd Ward LDS Chapel, 3547 E. Menan Lorenzo Hwy, Menan. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m., prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery.
