Joella Brady

JoElla Brady (Palmeri) age 91, of Roberts, passed away at her home Friday, January 13, 2023. JoElla was born August 20, 1931, in Jamestown, New York a daughter to Giuseppe G. Palmeri and Mary Brunacini Palmeri. Following High School graduation, she married Frederick Hayes II. Later Byron Brady. She worked at Idaho Fresh Pak in Lewisville, Idaho and had lived in Jamestown, New York and Roberts, Idaho. She loved traveling, camping, and other activities with family, family was of utmost importance. She loved art, music, astronomy, and anything that gave her a sense of wonder, and she shared that with her children. She loved to Read, and gathered much information on exploration, from Admiral Richard Byrd to Sir Edmund Hillary. She was fascinated with the uncovering of ancient ruins, from Egypt to Machu Picchu, and every time there was a new discovery she’d head to the library to read everything she could get her hands on about such things. She is survived by, three sons: Fred O. Hayes III (Sarah) of Ontario, New York, James Brady of Watertown, New York and Byron Lee Brady of Boise, Idaho, two sisters: Claudia J. Nelson of Frewsburg, New York, and Portia R. Lechner of Sugargrove, New York and a brother Nelson G. Palmer of Florida and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers: Charles J. Rix, John C Rix, Dennis A. Palmer and Joseph A. Palmer
