John Craig Byington

John Craig Byington, age 62, of Ririe, died at his home Thursday, December 25, 2014. Craig was born February 17, 1952, in Idaho Falls, Idaho a son to Merrill Ray Byington and Bessie Theresa Hunsaker Byington. He attended schools in Ririe graduating from Ririe High School. Following high school he attended technical college and became an electrician. He worked for Leonard Equipment for over 20 years. He was a member of the LDS Church. He enjoyed boating, camping, floating the river, outdoors, guns, family and friends. “His home was always open to anyone, anytime; he had an open-heart and love for everyone!” –Dawn. “He was always the peace maker.” –Craig Landon & Suzy Landon. He is survived by: two daughters Hailey Ann Byington and Emma Konzel, one son Kenny Ray Byington, one step son James Heartwell, six sisters, Marilyn Spaulding, Valerie Hansen, Diane Young, Marla Bateman, Penny Scott and Dawn Fisher and one brother, Stephen Byington. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Ronald Byington and Robert Bryington, and a sister Mickey Monroe. Memorial service will be held Sunday December 28, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby. Burial will be in the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel.
