John Ryan Groth

John Ryan “J.R.” Groth, age 47 of Rigby died at his home Tuesday, April 3rd 2007. He was born August 3, 1959 in Idaho Falls Idaho, a son of the late William Lloyd Groth and Virginia Ellen Ryan Groth. He was raised in Lewisville and attended school in Midway and Rigby. June 30, 1989 he married Debbie Diane Barzee in Lewisville Idaho, they later divorced. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, owned Groth Auto Salvage, worked in Eureka, Nevada on his uncles farm, owned JR’s transport and JR’s towing company and worked for Rhoadhouse Construction. J.R. enjoyed car racing, fishing, hunting, and teasing his nieces and nephews. He is survived by his mother Virginia Ryan Groth, of Lewisville, a sister Dana (Ted) Stoltenberg, of Douglas Wyoming, four brothers, Fred Groth of Lewisville, Eddie (Sara) Groth of Eureka, Nevada, Donnie (Cassandra) Groth of Idaho Falls, Brett Groth of St. Anthony, two daughters Tara Bascom of Moscow, Trisha (Nathan) Miles of Boise, two sons Jason (Cheryl) Barzee of Austin, Texas and Justin Groth of Dubois, and 3 Granddaughters. He was preceded in death by his father William Lloyd Groth, and his brother Ray Groth. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, April 7, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Lewisville 2nd Ward L.D.S. Church, in Lewisville. The family will visit with friends Friday, April 6, 2007 from 7 – 8:30 p.m. at Eckersell Memorial Chapel and Saturday, 9:30 – 10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery.
