John Harvey Groth Jr.

John Harvey Groth Jr. Was born Oct 11, 1959 in Rigby, Idaho to John Harvey and Mary Lou Hunter Groth, He left this world on April 5, 2010 in Cheyenne Wyoming. John spent his childhood and early adult life in Ririe Idaho, where he was his Dad's little shadow. He learned everything about farming and fixing things from an early age. John graduated from Ririe High School in 1978 and soon married Lori Crosby. They had 2 sons, John and Justin. They divorced and John married Jane Plasters and moved to Greeley, Colorado, where his daughter Amanda was born. John helped Jane raise her 2 daughters, Stephanie and Carrie. They divorced and John moved to Cheyenne and went to work as a foreman at Puma Steel. He married Krissie Peterson, and his son, Hudson was born in Cheyenne, Wyoming in November of 2008. John loved his children very much. He also was very close to his Nephews and Nieces. They all loved it when Uncle John came to town. John loved to fish and he also had a beautiful Harley that he loved to ride and enjoy nature. John is survived by all his children, his parents, and his 3 sisters, Shawna (Randy) Branch of Snowville, Utah, Susan (Lyle) Schwartz of Idaho Falls, and Jana (Derek) Inns of Rexburg, many Aunts, Uncles and cousins, and also all of his many friends in Cheyenne. A service for Family and close friends will be held at Eckersell Funeral Home in Rigby, Idaho, Monday April 12th at 1:00pm. Interment will be the Ririe Shelton Cemetery in Ririe, Idaho. The family suggests donations to your local or state Alzheimers Association.
