Jared Jardine

John Jared Jardine, age 40, passed away peacefully at his home in Lewisville, Idaho, surrounded by loved ones on the morning of July 29, 2026, after a heroic 3-year fight against colorectal cancer. Jared was born on Nov. 22, 1985, to John Arthur Jardine and Becky Carter Jardine in Breese, Illinois. Jared grew up in Lewisville, Idaho and attended Rigby High School where he graduated in 2004. As a child, Jared was into everything and hard to keep track of. He was funny, adventurous, fearless, and enjoyed riding anything with wheels. He just wanted to be wherever his Dad was.

Jared worked with his dad for several years in the construction field, after which he received his certification and worked as a fire protection technician for Viking Automatic Sprinkler, and until the present time, at the Idaho National Laboratory. He was a hard worker and enjoyed learning new skills.

Jared married Shelby Jones and they had 3 children together. Carter, Brayah, and Harper. Then he married the love of his life, Amber Cottle on April 13, 2018. At that point, they blended their families with Amber’s 2 children, Kyler and Kami and Jared’s children Carter, Brayah and Harper. Jared and Amber were then blessed with John Bodee Jardine. Jared built a home for their family in Lewisville, Idaho big enough to house their entire crew. He built the home from the ground up.

Jared loved being outdoors. He loved anything with an engine, especially dirt bikes. He loved working on trucks, digging, fixing anything, and had a deep curiosity of how things work. He loved spending time with his wife, six children and his family. He will be remembered for his sense of adventure, his hard work and his desire to get his truck stuck and be rescued by loved ones.

Jared is survived by Amber Jardine (wife), and his children: Kyler Cottle, Carter Jardine, Kami Jardine, Brayah Jardine, Harper Jardine, and John Bodee Jardine. His parents, John and Becky Jardine of Lewisville, Idaho. His siblings, Mary (Tyson) Tanner of Rigby, Sarah (Justin) Allen of Ririe, Ben (Andrea) Jardine of Rigby, Joe (Krishelle) Jardine of Lewisville, Lindy (David) Nowakowski of De Pere, Wisconsin, Kathy (Justin) Rees of Idaho Falls, Jan (Alex) Dockstater of Idaho Falls and many nieces and nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Katie Jardine.
