Jolene Davis Jardine

April 12, 1950 — December 14, 2017

Jolene Davis Jardine, 67, of Idaho Falls passed away December 14, 2017 in her home surrounded by family following a battle with ovarian cancer. Jolene was born April 12, 1950, in Idaho Falls to George and Betty Davis. She was an adventurous, creative, and compassionate child, and these qualities would remain and develop throughout her life. Her hobbies and skills included everything from cooking and sewing to designing jewelry and laying tile. An active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Jolene held many callings and assignments. While she especially loved serving as an ordinance worker in the Idaho Falls Temple, she would say her greatest joy came from being a mother and grandmother. She was compassionate and kind, and she never missed an opportunity to demonstrate her love for her family. Jolene is survived by her older brothers, Dennis (Anita) Davis of Bountiful, Utah and Kelly (Susan) Davis of Ammon, Idaho; and her children, Amy (Daniel) Goodrich of Kennewick, Washington; Chad (Alanna) Jardine, Deedra Jardine, Carl (Lisa) Jardine, and Michael (Holly) Jardine, all of Idaho Falls. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 3 grandchildren-in-law, and 1 great-grandchild. Her parents, George and Betty Davis, her younger sister, Lori Schaugaard, and younger brother, Kevin Davis, preceded her in death. The family wishes to express its heartfelt thanks to the medical professionals who worked tirelessly to prolong and improve her mortal experience. Special thanks to Dr. Brad Adams and his staff at Teton Cancer Institute, and to the staff of Aspen Home Health and Hospice, especially her wonderful nurse, Sam. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 20th, at the Idaho Falls Taylor Mountain Stake Center (260 Castlerock Ln., Idaho Falls) with Bishop Ken Despot of the Victorian Village Ward officiating. The family will hold a viewing at the church on Tuesday from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9:30 – 10:45 a.m. Interment will be in the Ammon Cemetery.
