Jon David Chadwick

Jon David Chadwick 45, of Rigby, Idaho passed away December 17, 2012 peacefully at his home from natural causes. Jon was born on April 20, 1967 in Idaho Falls, to David Jensen Chadwick and Sharon Phillips Chadwick. Jon attended Ammon Elementary, Bonneville Junior High and Bonneville High School. He still has many childhood friends that he loves. He loved to fish, if there was a river close by he was there fishing, some of the fish he caught would make the most seasoned angler envious. He worked on a ranch in Beaver, Utah and found his passion in life, he dreamed of owning a large ranch and raising cattle and riding horses. He also enjoyed playing pool and basketball. He owned and operated a trucking company “JTWolfee Transport” based in Rigby and was currently working in the in North Dakota Oil fields. Jon married Marti Watson and in Utah, from that union was born a beautiful son, Alex. They later divorced. He then met Deana Weekes, they were married in Rigby, to this union they added two beautiful children, and they later divorced. On December 26, 2008 Jon married Salli Ann Lybbert in Idaho Falls, ID. Salli became the love of his life. Salli feels the same way, and says “He was the love of my life, we rescued each other”. She loved his smile, his touch and his kindness. Upon marrying they united their families together which included nine children. On July 11, 2011 Jon’s life changed forever, he was in a devastating semi-truck accident in North Dakota. Since then he has struggled in his everyday life. Everyone that loved him could not take his pain away. He will be truly missed and was loved very much. On December 17, 2012 a light burned out, but the light will continue in our hearts! He is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Family and friends know that our Savior has taken him home. We love you Jon and you will be missed every day. He is survived by his wife, Salli Ann Chadwick, children, Alex Watson, Meadow Lake Chadwick, River Forest Chadwick, Anna Sheri (Jarrod) Frost, Julie Lynn (Clark) Allen, Jason Dorsey Gwilliam, Joel Christian Lybbert, Michael Cal Lybbert, Heidi Celeste Lybbert, his mother, Sharon Wolfensberger, of Rigby, siblings Deborah Lee Vazquez, of Idaho Falls, Monica (Tom) Foster, Darin James Chadwick, of Rigby, Thadius Highlan Frazier. He is also survived by nine nieces and five nephews. He was predeceased by his father, David Jensen Chadwick, step-father, Allen W. Wolfensberger, nieces Shantay Chadwick, grandfather, Keith Phillips, and an Aunt, Sue Burkenbine Phillips. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 22, 2012, at the Rigby LDS Stake Center, 258 West First North. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m., Friday, December 21, 2012, at Eckersell Funeral Memorial Chapel, 101 W. Main Street, Rigby, and from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery.
