Jonathon Dean McFarland, age 20, died June 24, 2006 of injuries received in an automobile accident. Jonathon was born April 1, 1986 in Rexburg, Idaho, the son of Kirby and Nanlyn Edelmayer McFarland.
Jon grew up and attended schools in Rigby, and graduated from Rigby High School. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He had been active in Scouting enjoyed hunting with his hounds, mostly for bears and mountain lions, camping, hunting, fishing, riding four wheelers, motor cycles, and his nieces, and nephews.
He is survived by his parents Kirby and Nan McFarland of Rigby, Idaho; two brothers, James Ben (Marissa) McFarland, and K. Max McFarland both of Rigby. He is survived by grandparents; Dean and Karlene McFarland of Rexburg, Idaho, and Jack and Carmen Edelmayer of Roberts, Idaho, and his fiancée Ashley Robertson of Ucon, Idaho.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 30, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at the Labelle 2nd. Ward L.D.S. Chapel 4223 E. 525 N. Rigby, Idaho. The family will receive friends Thursday evening 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 West Main Street, Rigby, Idaho; and Friday 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at the church in Labelle. Burial will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery.
