Josefina Marmolejo Caudillo, age 75 of Rigby, died at her home Saturday, April 14, 2012.
Josefina was born March 11, 1937 in Romita, Gto. Mexico a daughter of Atilano Marmolejo and Loreto Chavez. She was raised in Romita, Mexico and on August 29, 1957 she married Manuel Caudillo in Romita, Gto., Mexico. They moved to Shelley in March of 1978 and then moved to Rigby in 1982.
She worked at King B Jerky for 10 years. She was a member of the Catholic Church attending Holy Rosary and Christ the King in Idaho Falls. She enjoyed working, sewing and being around people. She was insistent on teaching her family good values. She was very generous and thoughtful to others and loved her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband Manuel Caudillo of Rigby, a daughter Manuela (Vance) McVey of Iona, three sons: J. Jesus (Flor) Caudillo, Javier (Rosa) Caudillo and Gustavo Caudillo all of Rigby, sisters Esperanza Marmolejo and Guadalupe Marmolejo both of Mexico, a brother Natalio (Asencion) Chavez of Los Angeles, California, 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Loreto Chavez Marmolejo and Atilano Marmolejo and three sisters; Pabla Chavez, Maria Chavez and Socorro Marmolejo Caudillo.
Services will be held Friday, April 20, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. The family will visit with friends on Thursday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby and on Friday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Burial will be in the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
