Joseph E.Hutchison, 65, of Idaho Falls, died at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center May 13, 2005, from cancer.
Joe was born December 11, 1939, at Missoula, Montana. He was raised by his grandparents Harry Hutchison and Grace May Daniels Hutchison. He attended schools in Harlowton, Montana. After graduating from Harlowton High School he served in the U.S. Army National Guard in Harlowton. He married Meryl Blackburn in Seattle, Washington in 1964. They later divorced. He worked as a Brick Mason, on Dude Ranches, as a Pit Boss at Cal-Neva and as General Floor Manager for Circus-Circus in Reno, Nevada. He taught guitar lessons as Mikes Music in Idaho Falls. He enjoyed entertaining, spending most of his life with his bands and musical family in Nevada and Idaho, living for his love of music and also his AA family. He was a member of Eagles Lodge in Idaho Falls.
Survivors include family members a son Tom Nelson and family, a brother Don Brown and family of Martinsdale, Montana, a sister Vonnie Pedersen and family of Martinsdale, Montana and many cousins, nieces and nephews all around Montana.
He was preceded in death by his parents and Terry Nelson.
Memorial Services will be held Wednesday, May 18, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
The Eagles Lodge at 635 Hemmert in Idaho Falls will host a celebration of Joes life and music, May 20, 2005 starting at 8:00 p.m. Please come and celebrate for Montana Joe.
