Joseph Clarence Wilde, 47, passed away on July 29, 2026, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. He was born on May 8, 1979, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Leslie Clarence Wilde and Terry Lee Johnson.
Joseph grew up in the area and attended school in Shelley, Idaho. Throughout his life, he worked in a variety of jobs, including for the City of Ririe in maintenance, a head cook and dishwasher at Dave’s Truck Stop, and later in caregiving and construction. He was known for his strong work ethic and willingness to help others.
Joseph made his home in Ririe, Idaho. He loved spending time outdoors, especially fishing, hunting, and camping. He enjoyed gardening, planting flowers wherever he could, taking road trips, and visiting Yellowstone National Park. He also loved spending time with his friends.
More than anything, Joseph treasured his family. Sundays were his favorite days because they were spent surrounded by his children and grandchildren. He loved barbecuing, laughing together, and making memories that will be cherished forever.
Joseph was a devoted husband who loved his wife with all his heart. He always put her first, cared for her in every way he could, and never missed an opportunity to let others know how deeply he loved her.
Joseph will be remembered for his kind heart, his love for family, and the joy he found in life’s simple moments. He will be deeply missed.
Joseph is survived by his wife Shantell Wilde of Ririe, Idaho; Daughters CrossLee (Paul) Landon of Ririe, Idaho, Kylee Wheeler of Ririe, Idaho; Son Trystan (Shalise) Wilde of Rigby, Idaho; Parents Leslie Wilde of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Terry (Ken) Anderson of Pocatello, Idaho; Sisters Mary Lee (Jerry) Lewis of Espanola, New Mexico; Brothers Brandon Wilde of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Steven (Mick) Preston of Ririe, Idaho; Grandkids River, Rykur, Elijah, Ollie, Camden, and Wrenley (Little Princess).
Joseph is preceded in death by his sister Heather Reeder.
Services will be held at a later date.
