Josephine Auger Ragan, 83, of Ammon, Idaho, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2024, from a brave battle with pancreatic cancer.

Josephine was born on March 28, 1941, in Glendale, Idaho, to Verl Jensen and Alice Sharp Auger. Her family moved to the family farm in Glendale, Idaho, when she was four years old. She grew up in Glendale and attended grade school in Whitney, Idaho, where she played the French Horn in the band. In her teens, Josephine loved playing softball for hours with her siblings and the Peterborg and Jensen neighbor kids. In high school, she continued in the band playing the drums. She later graduated from Preston High School in 1959.

On September 7, 2007, she married the love of her life, Rodney Ragan, and gained six additional kids and their families. They resided in Ammon, Idaho. On May 3, 2015, they were sealed for time and all eternity in the Rexburg Idaho Temple. They lived happily for sixteen and a half years.

She was active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Josephine enjoyed staying active, walking half marathons, reading, researching on the internet, photography, genealogy, and teaching her primary class. Josephine was well-known for her sense of humor, spunk, and grit.
