Judith Kaye Butikofer, age 68 passed away in her home on the 13th of November, 2015 due to cancer.
Judi was born in Seattle Washington on October 21, 1947 to Irving Richard and Kaye Osborne. She was the oldest of four children. Judi spent her childhood in Everett, Washington. After graduating from Everett High School she attended the community college in Everett. Then ventured out to south east Idaho to attend Ricks College. While looking for shoes at a store in Rexburg, Idaho in 1966 she met Val Butikofer. They fell in love and were married on July 19, 1967 in the Idaho Falls temple. Judi and Val were married for 48 years before her death.
Judi was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. As a youth, she attended seminary. She was active in the youth missionary program and the young women’s organization. As an adult, Judi served in the primary, Sunday school, young women’s, Relief Society (in the Ward and Stake).
Judi enjoyed making birthday cards and a variety of other cards to give to others, particularly to her Grandchildren.
Judi brought 6 beautiful children into this world. She loved them all very much. She has also loved and enjoyed all her grandchildren.
Judi was preceded in death by her mother and father and her brother, Rick Osborne.
She is survived by her husband Val, sister Kathy Spence, her brother and sister-in-law John (Jill) Osborne another sister-in-law Rhonda Osborne ( Rick’s wife), her children and spouses Jeff Butikofer, Bryan (Lisa) Butikofer, Brenda (Eli) Preston, Jaron (Amy) Butikofer, Kristen Butikofer, Kevin (Felisha) Butikofer.
Funeral services will be at the Garfield Church 71 North 3700 East, Rigby, Saturday, November 21, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. The family will visit with friends on Friday, November 20, at Eckersell Memorial Chapel 101 West Main Street, Rigby from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. and on Saturday at the church from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Interment will be in the Grant Central Cemetery.
