Judy Ardell Bridges

June 7, 1952 — October 26, 2025

Rigby, Idaho

In Loving Memory of Judy Ardell Bridges. Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Judy Ardell Bridges, passed away peacefully in her home on October 26, 2025, at the age of 73.

Judy was born on June 7, 1952, in Rigby, Idaho, to Milton Waters Andersen and Mary Ardell Andersen. Though Rigby was where her story began, Judy’s life took her to many places. After marrying Nathan Bridges, the love of her life, on March 19, 1981, in Reno, Nevada, she spent many years traveling and building a home wherever Nathan’s service in the U.S. Navy took them. No matter where they lived, Judy created warmth and belonging for her family and everyone around her.

Judy was the proud mother of six children: Shon Barnes, Shane Barnes, Mick Barnes, DeEtte Barnes, Jeramie Barnes, and Sharay Bridges. Her children, grandchildren, and great- grandchildren were the light of her life. There was nothing she loved more than being surrounded by family — she cherished every hug, every visit, and every “I love you.” Her home was always a place of comfort, full of warmth, good food, and laughter. For 17 years, Judy worked for The City of Rigby, where she was known for her dedication, kindness, and steady smile. She took great pride in her work and the community she served. Judy had a special love for the simple things — drives to the mountains, breakfast outings, and time spent with her loved ones. She found beauty in everyday moments and had a gift for making those around her feel loved and valued. Her laughter, sense of humor, and gentle heart will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her loving husband Nathan Bridges; her children Shane Barnes, DeEtte Barnes, Jeramie Barnes, and Sharay Bridges; and by her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will continue to carry her love and spirit forward. Judy was preceded in death by her parents Milton and Mary Andersen; her sons Mick Barnes and Shon Barnes; her grandsons Levi Marthis and Jordan Bridges-Terry; her sisters Pam Garland and Carol Kranz; her brothers Larry Andersen, Richard Andersen, Dennis Andersen, Marlen Andersen, Kyle Andersen, Gaylen Andersen, and Kim Andersen.

After Nathan’s Navy service, Judy and Nathan eventually settled back down in Rigby, Idaho, where her journey began. It was there that she found peace and happiness surrounded by family, lifelong friends, and the familiar beauty of home. Rigby was always where Judy’s heart belonged, and it’s where her memory will forever live on — in the mountains she loved, the community she cherished, and the family she adored. Judy leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and strength. Her family and friends will remember her for the joy she brought into their lives and the unwavering love she gave so freely.
