Judy Irene Monroe

Judy Irene Monroe, 69 of Rigby, died Sunday, July 10, 2016 at her home. Judy was born September 18, 1946 in American Falls, Idaho to Thomas Warren Burton and Elsie Emma Anderson Burton. She was raised and attended schools in Ririe, graduating from Ririe High School. She married Ray Hamilton, together they had 2 sons, Brett and Bart. They later divorced. She married John Wade Monroe in February of 1966, and gained a son, Danny. Together she and Wade had 2 daughters, Tammy and Kristy and a son, Jeffery. She enjoyed caring for others, taking care of her family and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had a natural way of making anyone and everyone she came in contact with feel loved and needed. She always put others first with her big smile and huge heart and dedicated her whole life working and providing care as a CNA in the health care industry for over 35 years. Judy is survived by her life companion, John Wade Monroe, of Rigby, daughter, Kristy Monroe Call, of Ucon, ID, sons, Brett (Jill) Hamilton, of Iona, ID, Bart (Connie) Hamilton, of Logan, UT, sister, Marlene (Ron) Barchert, of Pocatello, ID, brother, Tom (Kathy) Burton, of Meridian, ID, 18 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Elsie Burton, sister, Alta Cherry, sons, Danny Monroe, Jeffery Monroe and daughter, Tammy Monroe. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, July 14, 2016 at Rigby 3rd Ward LDS Chapel, 364 N. 4100 E. Rigby, Idaho. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery. Services are under the care of Eckersell Funeral Home in Rigby.
