Julia Ann Rottweiler Green, age 66 of Idaho Falls, died Monday, September 13, 2010 at the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls.
She was born July 4, 1944, in Rigby, Idaho, to Paul Lawrence Rottweiler and Edna May Cowell. She was raised and attended schools in Roberts, graduating from Roberts High School.
On August 10, 1962, she married Duane Andrew Green in Roberts, Idaho; their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on May 29, 1969.
She is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served as Young Women’s President, Relief Society President and taught Home Storage. She cooked at Roberts Sr. Citizens Center for 13 years, volunteered at the elections in Bonneville County for many years, and was a campground host, along with her husband at Stoddard Campground. She was a member of a Birthday Club with good friends from Osgood for over 20 years, was an excellent cook and enjoyed sharing her talent by teaching and by sharing with others; she also enjoyed camping, cookouts, and playing cards.
She is survived by her daughter, Jody (Chuck) Furrer, of Missoula, Montana, sons, Dee (Angie) Green, Steven (RaeLyn) Green, both of Idaho Falls, Idaho sisters, Karol (Ben) Poston, of Roberts, Idaho, Karen (Gary) Maritt, of Reno, Nevada, brothers, Paul Wayne (Glenda) Rottweiler, of San Antonio, Texas, Dean (Marlene) Rottweiler, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, and 5 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and a brother, Dale Rottweiler.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, September 17, 2010, at the Osgood L.D.S Chapel, with Bishop Brad Reed, conducting. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday evening, at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 West Main Street, Rigby, and from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery, under the care of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
