JULIAN U. YBARLUCEA, age 62, of Monteview, died at the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls, Saturday, April 22, 2006. Julian was born January 28, 1944 in Markina, Spain, the son of Roman Ibarlucea and Prudencia Urriolauscoa Ibarlucea.
Julian grew up and attended schools in Spain until he was 19 years old. He immigrated to the United States in 1963, and became a citizen in 2002. He worked in California as a sheepherder. He worked for the United States Experimental Sheep Station in Dubois for 15 years. He ranched in the Monteview area. He was a truck driver in the Pahsimeroi area for 7 years. He married Ella White, October 3, 1972 in Elko, Nevada. He enjoyed coin collecting, fishing and his grandchildren. He was a member of the Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife Ella of Monteview. One son Roman (Heather) Ybarlucea of Lewiston, Idaho two daughters Maria (Shane) Kluesner of Lima, Montana Elena (Jorge) Medrano of Rigby, Idaho two sisters; Maria (Laverne) McPherrin of Sutter, California, and Raymunda (Jesus) Uscola of Spain, two brothers, Javier (Mari Sol) Ibarlucea, and Luis Mari (Kristina) Ibarlucea of Spain, and 4 grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents.
A Vigil will be held Tuesday, April 25, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. in the St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Mud Lake. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 26, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at St Ann’s Catholic Church with Father Caleb Vogel officiating. Burial will be in the Spencer Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
