Justin Frank Watson

Justin Frank Watson, 21, of Rexburg, Idaho passed away unexpectedly on July 15, 2023. Justin was born on August 31, 2001, to Cory Watson and Sara Len Purser in Rexburg, Idaho. Justin attended schools in Sugar City, Pocatello, and Rigby. He earned his high school diploma from Jefferson High School.

Justin always had a smile on his face and was known for making people laugh. He loved a good joke. Justin was quick to offer a warm hug and tell you he loved you. He enjoyed being outdoors, camping, riding 4-wheelers, and watching motocross races. He bought his first dirt bike last year. Justin loved to take long drives to see the mountains and watch the sunset. Being outdoors made him feel calm and happy.

When he wasn’t exploring the outdoors, Justin loved spending time with his family, especially his nieces. He always had a strong connection with his Grandma Purser. It brings great comfort knowing they are together once again.

Justin was kind-hearted and was happiest when he could help someone in need. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He had many jobs over the past few years but his favorite was at the Walmart gas station.

Justin is survived by his father Cory (Rachel) Watson of Rigby, mother Sara Len Purser (Houston Bowersox) of Ashton; siblings Kaylee (Hayden) Gerdes of Rexburg, Kylan Watson and Lilly Watson of Rigby, Chance Watson of Thayne, Wyoming; nieces Tayzlie, Addlie, and Brixlie Gerdes; grandparents Sidney Purser of Sugar City, Lyle and Kelly Schiess of Victor, and Michael Watson of Powell, Wyoming. He was preceded in death by his grandmother Helen Purser and uncle Chance E. Schiess.

A viewing will be held at Eckersell Funeral Home in Rigby on Sunday, July 23, 2023, from 6:00 pm until 7:30 pm. Graveside services will be at the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery on Monday, July 24, 2023, at 10:00 am. A donation account has been set up in Justin’s name at The Bank of Commerce for those who would like to contribute to the cost of his headstone.
