Karen Ball, 50 of Rigby, died Thursday, February 02, 2012 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls.
She was born December 17, 1961 in Rigby, Idaho to H.F. Baxter and Erma Joann Lee Baxter. She was raised and attended schools in Rigby and Klein, Texas and received her GED from EITC in Idaho Falls. On April 3, 1982, she married Ben E. Ball in Rigby, Idaho. They later divorced.
She worked as a CNA for Home Health and Hospice and Idaho Home Health, at Stop & Go in Rigby, as a School Bus Driver for School District 251, and most recently at Wal-Mart in Ammon, where she has worked for the last 9 years.
Karen was a member of the LDS Church; she enjoyed crafts, crocheting, camping, fishing, and sewing. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and watching Sci-fi and Disney movies.
She is survived by her parents, H.F. and Joann Baxter, of Rigby, ID daughters, Rebecka Ball, of Boise, ID, Kimberly Ann (Mike) Burt, of Rigby,ID Britney Ball, of Rigby, ID sisters, Teresa Flug, of Redding, CA, Shelly (Robert) Boyce, of Dutch Harbor, AK, brother, Stephen Baxter, of Rigby, and 6 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, a nephew, Joseph Flug.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 7, 2012, at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 West Main Street, Rigby. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Monday evening and from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m., Tuesday, prior to services, both at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery under the care of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
