Karen Faye Gunderson

Karen Faye Gunderson, 71, of Rigby, died Friday, March 22, 2013, at the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. Karen was born July 14, 1941, in Dubois, Idaho a daughter of Orvil Boyd Williams and Millie Eldora Colson Williams. Karen spent most of her life in the Medicine Lodge area. She attended the Eddie Grade School in the Medicine Lodge Canyon and the Clark County High School. She was a member of the Dubois Rodeo Association and barrel raced. She was a member of the Baptist Church. Karen married Carl “Dutch” Doschades on Sept. 6, 1957 in Dubois, Idaho. They had one son Kevin. They later divorced. Karen married Grant Orlin Gunderson on March 15, 1980, in Dubois, Idaho. He preceded her in death. They lived in Dubois for several years before they moved to Rigby. Karen loved horses, the outdoors, gardening and cooking. Karen is survived by her son Kevin (Elise) Doschades of Dubois, Idaho, and Sister Barbara Reynolds of Rigby, Idaho. Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Husband Grant Orlin Gunderson, and brother Benny Williams. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at the Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby. The family will visit with friends from 11:30 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. Burial will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel.
