Karren Borowski

Vila “Karren” Borowski, 68, of Idaho Falls, died Sunday, March 27, 2011 at her home, of sudden cardiac arrest. She was born August 18, 1942, in Rigby, Idaho to Jack Baxter Hawkins and Vila Perl Lemmon Hawkins. She was raised and attended schools in Rigby, graduating from Rigby High School. She married Rex Cherry, and later divorced. On October 2, 1965, she married Stanley Anthony Borowski, in Carson City, Nevada. She worked in banking in Idaho and California and as a claims officer for a doctor while living in California. Karren is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; she enjoyed crafts and arranging silk flowers. She is survived by her husband, Stanley Borowski, of Idaho Falls, a daughter, Stephanie (Richard) Kraft, of Roseville, California, a sister, Jackie (Roger) Munns, of Waldorf, Maryland, brothers, Phillip (Norma) Hawkins, of Boise, Idaho, Bill (Peggy) Hawkins, of Rexburg, and 3 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Perry Hawkins. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 31, 2011, at the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery under the care of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
