Katheleen Gold

   Katheleen Pedersen Gold, 88 of Rexburg, died July 23, 2017 at home surrounded by her family.  She was born on November 13, 1928 in Ririe, Idaho to Lorenzo and Mattie May Pedersen. She married Lorin M. Gold on March 6, 1947 at Lorin’s parent’s home in Burton.  She was always a partner to Lorin with the farm, Gold Motors, and Lorin M. Gold Trucking. Katheleen (Kitty) enjoyed working with Lorin by keeping books that dealt with the farm and trucking business.  After their retirement, they loved going to Arizona for the winter to enjoy the warmer winter weather.  They were married for 61 years before he passed away September 28, 2008.  She is survived by two sons, Pete L. (Julia) Gold of Rexburg and Kraig L. (Ruth Ann) Gold of Idaho Falls. Two grandchildren, Hutch L. (Robin) Gold of Rigby, and Gindy Jenkins and Mike Hanks of Aransas Pass, Texas.  Three great grandsons and three great-great-granddaughters and one great-great-grandson.  Arrangements are under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby. At Katheleen’s request, there will not be a funeral.
