Kathleen Bunderson Hensley,75 years old. Passed away Sunday, August 22, 2021, at her home of 20 years in Dubois, Idaho.
Kathleen is survived by her husband Jack Hensley, Her 5 children; John Sparks, Tina Sparks (Richardson), Treesa Sparks, Mike Sparks, and Celith (Rae) Sparks. Her siblings Carol (Darrell) Stokes, Brigham City, UT; Randy Bunderson, ID; Cheryl Ewing, CA; Rex (Grace) Bunderson, WA; Patrecia (Dan) Anderson, ID and Tim Bunderson UT.
Kathleen was born November 27th, 1946, in Ogden, UT to Arnold Earl Bunderson and Dolores Howell Bunderson. She attended school in Weber County, UT. She married her first love John Wesley Sparks of whom all her children were born to. Kathleen and John separated and Kathleen went on to marry Gene Stewart of whom at the time was the love of her life. Gene preceded her in death. She went on living her life always in the service of others, she believed that there was no greater joy in life then the joy received while in the service of her fellow human being and her savior and lord Jesus Christ. Later in life, she met the companion that she would spend the rest of her days with, Jack Hensley. They were married for almost 20 years, and much of the happiness that she experienced was during this time.
Kathleen was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and Friend. She enjoyed the outdoors. Camping, Genealogy, gardening, canning, crocheting, martial arts, horseback riding, and when she was younger, the occasional joke or two at the expense of her family members, all in good the humor of course. Kathy looked forward to the beginning of school to hear the children from the elementary. She was a beautiful person, inside and out.
She traveled the country and pursued many of her dreams in her younger years. She often had a knowing smile and was able to pick up on other people's emotions easily. She always listened and then spoke, from the heart. The wisdom, love, compassion, and love that she had within her will be sorely missed. Kathleen was a devout member of the Latter Day Saints, and often found comfort within the book of Mormon. She looked forward to rejoining her family on the other side and often spoke of how blessed we were that Joseph Smith went into the forest that day that brought about the return of Gods Kingdom upon the earth. Kathy's wish was that her family would understand the importance of the Gospel. She wanted us to know not gone she is continuing with her work on the other side and I will be watching all of you.
Kathleen is survived by her husband Jack, 5 children, 4 living siblings, grandchildren and her great-grandchildren.
