Kathryn Osborne, age 85, of Rexburg, died Sunday, September 20, 2009, at Teton House Assisted Living Facility.
She was born November 28, 1924, in Burley, Idaho, to John Craner and Lauretta Wells Craner.
She attended Burley, Idaho schools graduating from Burley High School. She continued her education at Idaho State University where she met and married I. Richard Osborne, in Everett, Washington. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls, LDS Temple August 21, 1957.
While living in Everett, Washington she was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, worked as a florist for Flowers by Adrian, and as a bookkeeper.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in various callings in the ward and stake Primary, Young Women's, and Relief Society organizations.
She was giving and loving taking joy in her home, entertaining and in her family.
She is survived by her daughters; Judi (Val) Butikofer, of Rigby, Kathryn Spence of Idaho Falls, sons; John (Jill) Osborne of Austin, Texas and Rick (Rhonda) Osborne of Everett, Washington, one sister Rada of Bountiful, Utah and a brother Max of Rexburg, Idaho, 18 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband I. Richard Osborne June 14, 2004, 4 sisters and 2 brothers.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 26, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the Garfield 1st & 2nd Wards building at 71 North 3700 East, Rigby. The family will visit with friends on Saturday for one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
