Kathryn Swager, 92, of Idaho Falls, formerly of Rigby, died August 22, 2009, at Idaho Falls Health and Rehabilitation Center, from complication of Alzheimer’s disease. She was born February 4, 1917, in Oak Creek Colorado, to Willis Edger Little and Emma Catherine Harrison Little. She graduated from West Denver High School, and then continued her education at Barnes Business College. She was employed by National Boy Scouts in Denver, Colorado. On May 8, 1942, she married Richard C. Swager, in Denver, CO. Kathryn enjoyed Wednesday bridge club, golf, and church prayer group. Her greatest joy was family dinners at Thanksgiving. She is survived by her children; Judith (Robert) Bailey, of Boise; David (Debra) Swager, of Rigby, Mark (Patty) Swager, of Pueblo, CO; daughter-in-law, Verna Swager, of Boise; eight grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Harrison Little; husband, Richard; and a son Richard Jr. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 26, 2009, at Christ the King Catholic Church, 17th and Woodruff, Idaho Falls. Family and Friends may call from Noon to 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 W. Main St., Rigby, and from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Richard C. and Kathryn Swager Memorial Fund: Idaho Youth Ranch, P.O. Box 8538, Boise, ID 83707, or to a charity of your choice. The family gives special appreciation to Hospice of Eastern Idaho.
