Keith Boyd Birch

Keith Boyd Birch, 61, of Rigby passed away Sunday October 15, at the Salt Lake City Veterans Hospital. Keith was born in Rigby, Idaho on December 30, 1955 to Elmo Malmberg Birch and Nora Elvina Hathaway Birch. He was raised in the Menan and Rigby areas where he attended High School. He served with the US Navy during the Viet Nam War. He worked with the Idaho Transportation Department. Keith enjoyed reading, hunting, fishing, camping and being with his family. On August 5, 1979 he married Sandy Lynn Hunting in Idaho Falls. Keith and Sandy were blessed with four children a daughter and three sons. Keith and Sandy later divorced.   Keith is survived by his children, a daughter, Tasha (Erik) Riedelbach of Idaho Falls, sons, Corey (Becca) Birch of Pingree, Idaho, Lance (Angela) Birch of Soda Springs, and Jorge Birch of Idaho Falls, sisters, Jenial Skakib of Ogden Utah, Joyce (David) Holbrook of Ogden Utah, Sadie (Larry) Messick of Idaho Falls, LaRee (Joel) Billman of Dubois, Bonnie (Vard) Wright of St. Anthony, Jean (Jim) Olverholser of Idaho Falls, brothers Ken (Kris) Russel of Utah, and Les (Vicki) Birch of Rigby, as well as 8 Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 21, 2017, at 11:00am, at the Eckersell Funeral Home (101 West Main St. Rigby, ID). With a view prior to services from 9:30am to 10:45am. Burial will be at the Annis Little Butte Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Idaho Falls Veterans Clinic (3544 East 17th st.
