Keith Brown Bramwell returned to his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, July 11, 2006. He passed away at home surrounded by his loving family. Keith was born January 16, 1915 in Rexburg, Idaho to Adna Elias and Viola Brown Bramwell. He was the third of five children. The family home was in Woodrow (Northeast of Hamer), and the family later moved to Centerville and then Lewisville. Keith’s childhood was full of ranch life with horses and cattle. He graduated from Hamer High School in 1932. Keith married Edna Ellsworth and they later divorced. A daughter, Marjorie Dayle (Nalder) was born to this union. Keith married Marie Christina Watts on June 18th, 1948 in Idaho Falls, Idaho and they were sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple on January 19th, 1955. Keith and Marie raised one daughter, Lorraine Marie and four sons, Kliff Adna, Keith Alan, David Lyle and Donovan Lynn. Keith’s life was his family and his farm. He was a hard working honest man and honored his family name in word and deed. Keith and Marie enjoyed trail rides with their family, music and church activity. He was the drill master of the Jefferson County Posse in the 1950’s and many of the drills he developed are still used today. His love of horses is a heritage he passes on to all his children and grandchildren. He rode his last horse at the age of 90. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved being in service to others.
Keith is survived by his wife Marie, his daughters Marjorie Dayle of Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada, Lorraine (Delwin) Lehmberg of Lewisville and sons Kliff (Beverly) Bramwell of Lewisville, Keith (Cindy) Bramwell of Dubois, Idaho, David (Ter’esa) of Idaho Falls and Donovan Bramwell of Lewisville. Also Linda Bramwell of Grant, Idaho. Keith and Marie have 24 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and his sister.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 14, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. in the Lewisville 1st Ward LDS Chapel with Bishop James Gneiting officiating. The family will visit with friends at the Lewisville LDS Church on Thursday from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. and on Friday from 12:00 noon to 1:15 p.m. Burial will be in the Lewisville Cemetery.
