Kelly Christian Land

Kelly Christian Land, 49 of Rigby, passed away Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls. Kelly was born August 19, 1967 in Long Beach, California to Charles Francis Volpe and Patricia Ann Pearson. He was raised and attended schools in Garden Grove, California. He enjoyed playing baseball, soccer in his youth but his heart belonged to hockey. Kelly graduated from Pacifica High School in Garden Grove, California. Kelly worked as a truck driver for a moving company primarily. Kelly loved hockey; the LA Kings were his absolute favorite. He was a great guitar player and avid music fan, he was also a fisherman and enjoyed anything outdoors. Kelly was a member of the Lutheran Church and a devoted son, brother, uncle and father; he was loving and witty and will be deeply missed. Kelly is survived by his mother, Patricia Ann Pearson of Rigby; daughter, Shelby Herrera, sons, Dean Land and Ryan Land all of California. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Volpe, step-father, Carl Pearson, and 3 brothers, Kevin Land, Keith Pearson and Kerry Pearson. Services are under the care of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby, a private family service will be held at a later date.
