Kenneth J. Cox, 82, of Rigby, died Thursday, July 5, 2012, at his home.
He was born September 20, 1929, in Grant, Montana to Amasie Cox and Lois May Denny Cox.
He enlisted in the US National Guard and served in Korea. On December 17, 1953, he married Louyne Killian in Rigby; they later divorced.
Kenneth attended and graduated from ISU with a Bachelors Degree in Geology. He boxed during college and won many matches. He worked as a Mining Engineer at Kerr- McGee in New Mexico; he also worked in Colorado, Wyoming and Soda Springs.
Kenneth was a Life Member of The Veterans of Foreign Wars, and The Arbor Day Foundation.
He is survived by his children, Shanna (Kirk) Wolfley, of Soda Springs, Thomas (Wendy) Cox, of Guffey, Colorado, Shawn (Jada) Cox, of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Una Swenson, of Alaska; brother, Marvin Hooper, of Idaho Falls, and 16 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings; Millie, Denny, Arlo, Justin, Virgil, Arvine, Thelma, and J.R.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at the Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m., Monday, July 9, 2012 at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 W. Main Street, Rigby.
