Kenneth “KEN” Henry Davis, age 91, died at his home in Ucon, Friday, October 15, 2010.
Ken was born November 7, 1919 in Archer, Idaho a son of Delbert Henry Davis and Lenora Jakeman Davis. He attended Madison County schools graduating from Madison High School where he loved playing football.
In 1942 he married Vauna B Bailey in Tacoma Washington. They later divorced.
Ken served during WWII in the Army from 1940 until 1945 with the 776th Tank Destroyer battalion in France, Germany, Africa and Russia.
He owned his own plastering company and enjoyed his profession. He retired from plastering so that he could pursue his outdoor passions which were fishing, hunting, gold mining, gardening, and bowling. He loved his family and friends dearly.
Survivors include two daughters Janet (Quinn) Decker of Pasco, Washington and Kathy (Leonard) Koch of Idaho Falls and one son Bart (Sheila) Davis of Idaho Falls, 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, five sisters: Edna Anderson, Madge Cordon, Louise Ashbocker, Alice Saunders and Dorthy Neider, and one brother Glen Davis.
The family will visit with friends at Eckersell Memorial Chapel 101 West Main Street, Rigby, Wednesday evening October 20th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
