Kenneth Paul Fiebig, 91, of Idaho Falls, Idaho passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at the Idaho Veterans Home in Pocatello, Idaho. Ken was born January 20, 1926 in Sheldon, Iowa, the son of Paul John and Midred Opal Winans Fiebig. He grew up and attended schools in Waterloo, Iowa and high school in the state of Washington. He finished his high school education while serving in the Navy at the end of World War II. He earned a bachelors degree in accounting from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona. Ken served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and the Korean Conflict. He served in the Navy for 15 years. He worked as an accountant with the State of Arizona as an Auditor for 10 years. Ken married Laurel Dale Titmus on July 15, 1967 in Sedona, Arizona. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. As a member of the LDS Church served two missions with his wife. One to the Massachusetts, Boston Mission and the other at the Family History Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. Ken enjoyed camping, fishing and traveling all over America. Ken is survived by his wife Laurel, his daughters, Linda (Allen) Hahn of Rigby, Idaho, Brenda (Paul) Lawson of Tucson, Arizona, Gayle (Kevin) Anderson of Lewisville, Idaho and a son Steve Tuck of Iona, Idaho. A sister Doris McCarty of Iowa. 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Gary Fiebig, a grandson Brian Eickmeyer and two brothers. A funeral service will be held Monday, September 25, 2017 at Eckersell Memorial Chapel (101 W. Main Street, Rigby, ID) at 11:00 AM. The family will meet with friends prior to services at Eckersell’s from 9:30 to 10:45 AM. Interment will be in the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery.
