Our husband, father and grandfather Kent Foster has gone to be with our heavenly father on October 30, 2006. We will miss him surely but he is in a better place now in heaven with family and friends. Kent loved his family and doing whatever he could with them. His hobbies were fishing, camping, fourwheeling, skiing, and visiting with others. He loved his wife of 49 years Judy and his three children Vicki, Jerry and Terri with all his heart. Kent lived in Rigby all his life. He joined grandpa purser as a bee keeper and remained there for 46 years. During the winter his favorite thing to do was work at the top of lift number two at Kelly Canyon where he got the nickname “GRANDPA.” After retiring from the bees Kent went to work for his nephews at Foster Agro. and loved every minute of driving the semi, herding cows, and of course grain season and potato harvest.
Kent L Foster was born to Claxton and Lorena Foster of Rigby Idaho on July 21, 1938. Kent was joined with older siblings Ronald and Bernice and was later joined by Gary and Sharon. Kent spent his childhood in Rigby and graduated from Rigby High School.
Kent had a very enduring faith in the church and loved to attend. He held positions in the bishopric, Elder’s quorum presidency and was currently the High Priest Secretary. Judy and he were lucky enough to visit several church locations. They loved to travel and had the opportunity to go to places such as China, Israel, England, Palmyra and Nauvoo. Not only did he love the church trips but the family trips as well. Alaska was one of his favorite places to go. He loved the fishing with his wife and enjoying the wonderful ocean that they were able to be on.
Kent had 11 wonderful grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He loved his grandchildren with all his heart and would do anything for them and for others.
We will miss our husband, father and our grandfather very much but we will remember the wonderful memories we had with him. He was our LIFE!!!!
