Kermit Clark

Kermit passed away June 8, 2020 at a health care facility in Ft. Collins, Colorado.

He was 98 years of age, recently celebrating with 17 family members, spanning four generations.

Kermit was born May 24, 1922 in Lorenzo, Idaho and lived with his mom through early years in Freedom and Thayne, Wyoming. At age 14 he moved to Thornton, Idaho to work on the Robinson Farm. He met his future spouse, Dora Burns and they married in February 1941, raising three children: Karen, Darla, and Douglas. They were married for 62 years before Dora passed in 2003. Kermit was an Army Veteran of WWII, with Honorable Discharge and Rank of Sargent. After the Army Kermit was employed by Pritchard Western Equipment as earth moving equipment operator and maintenance mechanic on the Palisades Dam in Idaho. Subsequently he worked at INEL test Facility west of Idaho Falls as maintenance technician before retiring to enjoy hunting, fishing, camping and travel. He was also a “master gardener” before the term was in vogue. Kermit and Dora lived in their home on the west side of Idaho Falls until 2015 when he moved to Loveland Colorado to be near Karen and Doug and family.

Memorial services will be held at Sutton Cemetery in Archer, Idaho at a later date.  Services are under the care of Eckersell Funeral Home in Rigby, Idaho.
