L. Pauline Merritt Flint

July 2, 1930 — October 16, 2013

Lucille Pauline Merritt Flint, 83, of Rigby, passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at her home. Pauline was born July 2, 1930 in Arlington, South Dakota to Paul Merritt and LaFawn Skinner Merritt. She attended schools in Afton, Wyoming and Idaho Falls, Idaho, graduating from Idaho Falls High School in 1948. On July 24, 1949 she married Leland G Flint in Idaho Falls. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple in July of 1950. They were blessed with four sons. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; she served faithfully in the Relief Society, Primary and Young Women’s organizations. She enjoyed skiing, ATVing, painting and sewing. She is survived by her husband Leland Flint, of Rigby, sons, Steven L (Cecelia Peterson) Flint, of Mesa, AZ, Brian M Flint, of Salt Lake City, UT, Bruce G (Peggy Grover) Flint of Kennewick, WA, Douglas Paul (Bonnie Peterson) Flint, of Fruit Heights, UT, sisters, Marjorie (Brent) Gamble, of Blackfoot, Nancy (Lavarr) Moore, of Blackfoot, Virginia (Dean) Hammond, of Marysville, Washington, sixteen grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and 3 brothers. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 24, 2013 at the Rigby Stake Center, 258 W. 1st N., with Bishop Greg Hayward, conducting. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 W. Main Street Rigby and from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery. Services are under the care of Eckersell Memorial Chapel Rigby.
