Albert Ladell Jones, 75, of Rigby, died Sunday, August 1, 2010, at his home.
He was born April 10, 1935, in Lewisville, Idaho, to Lee Albert Jones and Zina Bernice Stringham Jones. He attended schools in Lewisville and Rigby and continued his education at B.Y.U. in Provo, Utah, studying metallurgy. He married Janet Purser on July 28, 1964 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. She preceded him in death. On March 8, 2008, he married Judy Delaine Purser Foster in Rigby.
Ladell was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served 4 missions. He was a member of the Snow Mobile Club and the Holiday Dance Club, he enjoyed riding 4-wheelers, fishing, water skiing, boating and could be found working in the garage on all kinds of projects.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Foster, of Rigby, daughters, Rebecca (Justin) Thompson, of Rigby, Terri (Troy) Nelson, of Ririe, sons, John (Julene) Jones, of Rigby, Dan (Judith) Jones, of Salmon, Jerry (Helene) Foster, of Rigby sisters, Yvonne Delamore, of Mountain Home, Aladene Rhodes, of Rigby, a brother, Richard Jones, of Bolivia, 26 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Janet, a brother, Terry a sister, Pauline and a step-daughter, Vicki.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 4, 2010, at the LaBelle LDS Chapel. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m., Tuesday at Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby, and from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m., prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery, under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
