LeGrande DeVon Willmore, age 75, died at his home in Rigby, Saturday, April 1, 2006. Legrande was born November 11, 1930 in Preston, Idaho, the son of Ernest Alfred and Thelma Taylor Willmore.
LeGrande grew up and attended schools in Preston, and Ucon, Idaho, and graduated from Ucon High School. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He married Shirley Morgan July 10, 1953 in Annis, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls L.D.S. Temple. He worked for the Bureau of Reclamation on the Palisades Dam and as a mechanic for Tractor Sales and Auto in Idaho Falls for several years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife Shirley of Rigby, three sons Gary (Mary Anne) Willmore, Bret Willmore , and Bart (Laurie) Willmore all of Rigby, by one brother Donald (Lettie) Willmore of Orem, Utah, by six grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son and two brothers.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 5, 2006 at Rigby Stake Center, 258 West 1st North, at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby, and Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Stake Center Burial will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery.
