LaKauna Mason Freeman, 66, passed away at her home in Blackfoot Wednesday, December 9, 2020.  LaKauna was born September 30, 1954 in St. Anthony, Idaho a daughter to Henry William Mason and A’Neal Garrett Mason.  She graduated from High School in Billings, Montana.  She married Melvin D. Freeman, August 30, 1973.  She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved visiting teaching.  Her hobby was her family and loved doing anything with her kids and grandkids.  She loved sitting on beaches and listening to the ocean.  She cherished the time her entire family went to Hawaii.  She is survived by three daughters; Jacque (Todd) Heyrend of Rexburg, ID., Chelsea Freeman of Burbank, CA., and Pam (Randy) Ellis of Boise, ID., three sons; Shaun (Laurie) Freeman of Las Vegas, NV., Doug Freeman of Rexburg, ID., and Mike Freeman of Boise, ID., three sisters; Sharla Mason of Pocatello, ID., Wendy Frandsen of Pocatello, ID., and JoLyn Mitchell of Pocatello, ID., twenty three grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents Henry and A’Neal Mason, her husband Melvin D. Freeman, a daughter Tammy Freeman, a son Jason Freeman and a grandson Dylan Freeman.  Funeral services will be held for family, Saturday, December 19, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 West Main Street Rigby, Idaho 83442.  Interment will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery.  Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.eckersellfuneralhome.com
