Lana Anderson Clements, 62, of Salt Lake City died at LDS Hospital March 22, 2007.
She was born in Martinez, California on November 12, 1944 to Harold and Irene Anderson and spent her childhood in Northern California. Lana attended BYU where she received a Masters Degree in business. She taught business classes at Provo High and spent 13 years as a human resource administrator and instructor at Utah Valley Community College. Lana held a number of regional and national leadership positions in human resource management and business education organizations during her tenure there.
On February 14, 1986 she married C. Ray Clements. Together they built the Clements Group where they worked together for nearly 20 years.
One of Lana’s great loves was spending time with Ray in Hawaii and visiting the local art galleries there. She loved visiting with her mother, watching sports, playing cards, attending plays, and doing Sudoku puzzles. She also adored her little black poodle, Scampi.
She is survived by her husband C. Ray Clements of Salt Lake City; her mother Irene Anderson and brother Richard Anderson (Kathy) of California; her step children Kelley Giles (Geret), Stacie Lindsey (Bryan), Amy Pollock (Rick), Marianne Clements; and 14 grandchildren of Utah. She is preceded in death by her father, Harold Anderson and her step son Mark Clements.
A graveside service will be held at Annis Little Butte Cemetery in Annis, Idaho on Tuesday, March 27, 2007 at 2:00 pm.
A viewing for family and friends will be held from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 W. Main Street, Rigby, Idaho prior to the graveside service.
