Lanelle Allen

LaNelle Allen, 61, of Rigby, passed away Monday April 23, 2012 surrounded by her family, at Madison Memorial Hospital, from complications of cancer. She was born October 16, 1950, in Pocatello, Idaho to Perry Earl Brady and Velma Scott Brady. She was raised and attended schools in Magna, Utah, Annis, Idaho and Rigby, Idaho graduating from Rigby High School. She married Mike Hendricks in 1968 in Rigby; to this union they added 2 sons. They later divorced. In 1981 she married Roger Allen in Rigby, they later divorced. LaNelle was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; she served in the Relief Society and most recently as the Single Adults Coordinator. She loved to garden and was a Certified Master Gardener. She enjoyed traveling, shopping and loved her grandchildren. She is survived by her sons, Justin (Tawney) Hendricks, of Great Falls, MT, Michael Kurt (Brenda) Hendricks, of Rigby, ID; a sister, Gloria (Ray) Nick, of Rigby, ID and 8 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 27, 2012, at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 W. Main Street, Rigby, with Bishop Jeremy Hall conducting. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday evening and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., prior to services, both at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery under the care of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
