LaNona Rae Blakely 81, of Ririe died March 5, 2003 at the hospital in Idaho Falls. LaNona was born January 27, 1922 in Ririe, Idaho the daughter of James Earl Durrant and Leah Agnes Park Durrant. She was raised in Ririe and attended Ririe schools graduating from Ririe
High School. LaNona married Dawn Seldon Blakley in Ririe, Idaho on May 29, 1945. She was an active member of The Chruch of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She had served in the Young Women, Relief Society, Primary and Sunday School. She sang in the Ward Choir. LaNona was a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary Post 1004. LaNona enjoyed gardening, flowers,
embroidering, leather work, and bead work. Survivors include her husband Dawn Seldon Blakely of Ririe, Idaho; one daughter LaDawn
(Jim) Bissette of Rexburg, Idaho; one son Lynn Seldon (Kathy) Blakely of Ririe, Idaho; one
sister Ardith Ritter of Ririe, Idaho; two brothers Garvin J. (Purlee) Durrant of Rigby, Idaho and Norlan P. (Janice) Durrant of Ririe, Idaho; six grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Saturday, March 8, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at the Ririe 2nd Ward Chapel with
Bishop Robert G. Reed presiding. The family will meet with friends on Friday, March 7, 2003 at
the Ririe 2nd Ward Church from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. and Saturday, prior to the services from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow the services at the Sutton Cemetery under the
direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
