Larena Brower, age 92, of St. Anthony, Idaho passed away in St. Anthony on Tuesday, July 2, 2024. She was born November 26, 1931 in Heman, Idaho, the daughter of Robert Willie Palmer and Nana Bell Bergeson Palmer.

Larena graduated from Sugar Salem High School in Sugar City, Idaho. She lived in the Wilford – St. Anthony area. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She had opportunity to serve in the church as a Relief Society President, a Young Women’s President and many other callings.

Larena married Delton Brower on August 12, 1949 in the Idaho Falls Temple. He preceded her in death. She later married Dean Zollinger and later, Lowell Young. Both husbands preceded her in death.

Larena enjoyed yardwork, gardening, and making delicious homemade bread. She loved to go hunting with friends, and watching kids and grandchildren in their activities.

Larena is survived by her children; Sandy (Carl) Carlson of Salem, ID, Jill (Russ) Miller of St. Anthony, ID, Melanie Smith of Anchorage, AK and Todd (Brenda) Brower of St. Anthony, ID. Sisters; Carla Redford of Inkom, ID, Nalene (Dave) Burch of Texas, Martel Palmer of Moses Lake, WA and Laird (Eva) Palmer of Egin, ID. Sixteen grandchildren, forty-one great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Larena was preceded by her parents, and three husbands. A daughter, Ronda Dunn. Her sister, Bardella Johnson and brothers, Clayton Palmer, Rial Palmer and Reynold Palmer. A granddaughter, Ashlee Nikum and a great grandson, Ayden Kennedy.

A funeral will be held for Larena on Monday, July 8, 2024 at 11:00 am at the Wilford 1st Ward Chapel (215 North 2400 East, St. Anthony, ID 83445). The family will meet with friends prior to the service on Monday from 9:30 to 10:45 am. Interment will be in the Wilford Cemetery.
