Larry Ray Guymon, age 78, of Rigby passed away on August 22, 2018, at Sage Grove Assisted Living.
Larry was born June 28, 1940, in Rigby, Idaho, son of Bessie and Guy Guymon. He grew up in Idaho Falls, Idaho and graduated from Bonneville High School. Larry was raised on a farm with his four sisters whom he loved and adored. Larry served in the United States Army from 1956-1960.
Larry married Clella Ward on July 31, 1957. They were blessed with four children: Rory, Guy, Gina and Corrina. Clella passed away after seven years of marriage. Larry met and married Elna Grover on February 20, 1965, in Elko, Nevada. They were blessed with two additional children: Monica and Layne. Together they raised their family of six children and shared 50 happy years of marriage until Elna’s passing in January 2016.
Larry worked at the INEL and Idaho Steel before starting his own business, M & L Welding, with his sons. In his later years, Larry enjoyed operating his back hoe and dump truck. Larry loved animals, he enjoyed NASCAR racing, participating in car shows throughout the region with his 1956 Ford Crown Victoria. He enjoyed going to coffee and visiting with his friends.
Larry is survived by his children; Guy(Georgiana) Guymon of Rexburg, Gina Singer of Idaho Falls, Corrina (Doug) Ossmen of Rigby, Monica (Chuck) Pauley of Idaho Falls, Layne (Cheryl) Guymon of Rigby. Sisters; LaRee (Joel) Billman of Dubois, Bonnie (Vard)Wright of St. Anthony and Glenna Taylor of Idaho Falls. Larry has 13 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Clella Guymon and wife Elna Guymon, son Rory Guymon, son in law Chris Singer, granddaughter Aubrey Guymon and sister Cheri Birch.
Graveside services we be held Saturday, August 25 at 10:00 am. at the Archer Sutton Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Funeral Home. The family will visit with friends on Friday August 24, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Eckersell Funeral Home.
The family would like to thank Sage Grove Assisted Living and Aspen Home Health and Hospice for the loving care they provided Larry during his stay.
